Job Summary:

This production team member will be responsible for set up and operation of one of NML’s two press breaks. This team member will be asked to bend, notch, or straighten sheet metal and structural shapes based on blueprint or sketch specifications. Once products are formed, this team member will be responsible for ensuring all product meets the strict QA guidelines.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Review and process shop orders according to the production plan.
  • Load proper program based on the production plan into the laser
  • As needed, properly adjust setup of the laser as directed by engineering
  • Assist as needed with machine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and care. Take ownership and responsibility for the work area including tools & equipment as well as inventory management.
  • Retrieve and put away sheet metal using a forklift
  • Verify angles and dimensions of a work piece based on blueprints and other QA tools
  • Help to move material throughout the fabrication area
  • As needed, help to load the laser cutter with raw sheets and dispose of scrap

Qualifications
Your Experience & Education

  • High school Diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or six months to one year of related experience and/or training

Your Skills & Traits:

  • Safety mindset
  • High attention to detail
  • Proven track-record of good workmanship
  • Ability to work independently & within a team
  • Ability to identify QA issues and concerns
  • Basic computer skills
