Job Summary:
The FS Sales Manager will be responsible for finding and securing customers and orders of engineered industrial air pollution control products primarily in industrial applications. Applications include Ferrous and Non Ferrous production furnaces, Metals & Mining, Rock Products, Material Handling and several others. Products include a variety of Fabric filter and auxiliary equipment systems. The position will be responsible for securing annual target order intake (booking) levels established each year during the budget cycle. The position will cover North America for this market segment and includes projects that are specified and engineered by companies from the NA region but that maybe shipped globally. The position is supported by inside applications and engineering personnel who review technical specifications and prepare sales proposal drawings. The position reports to the VP, Business Development.
What you will do...
- Proactively call on existing and potential clients to maintain and expand order intake volume.
- Lead Generation and Opportunity Development - Cold call potential new clients to continually expand the client base.
- Evaluate potential prospects using a solutions sales approach.
- Prepare, submit and present technical & commercial proposals to clients in accordance with DP process. Collaborate with Applications, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations to develop proposal. Present the value proposition of the solution to the client and address questions and overcome objections to win orders.
- Negotiate price and terms & conditions of purchase orders from clients.
- Assure smooth and complete turnover of Order Intake to Operations and Engineering teams.
Experience & Education
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, or other relevant training or discipline.
- 5-10 years of experience in sales related to engineered industrial equipment is required.
- Sales experience of air pollution control equipment, air moving equipment or product handling equipment is highly desired.
- Proved ability to seek out and establish new customer base within North America.
- Strong hunter mentality is required to seek out new business and build business levels with existing client base.
- Strong presentation capabilities required.
- Mechanical background or aptitude is required to interface with clients and engineers.
- Familiarity with Industrial Processes.
- Ability to read and interpre RFP documents, specificiations and engineering drawings is required.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
